My garbage company recently stopped accepting plastic bags in the recycle bin. No shopping bags, ziplock bags, packing bags. Not even garbage bags.

They stopped taking styrofoam years ago.

As a child of the 80s, who grew up eating quarter pounders out of foam containers, I find myself confused.

I was always taught that styrofoam and plastic bags were the major problems in landfills.

Recycling schemes were meant to fix that. And now I can’t recycle either.

What’s the point?

Productivity and personal development is like that. We need to step back and examine our motivations. We need to keep focused on our “why”.

Motivations can change. That’s fine but remembering your “why” is critical.

If you are on the path of personal growth is your why the same? Is it time for a new “why”?
