Working too hard for too long can kill you.

It’s that simple. We live in a world where work and engagement is never ending. Which is fine except that our access is also never ending. Computers, tablets, smartphones. All staring us in the face. Not good.

But you already knew that. You didn’t need me to tell you.

We weren’t build for it. We need rest. It’s literally built into our bodies.

People have been working themselves to the bone for centuries. Maybe it’s time for something different.

The Art of Manliness has a podcast out that addresses the issue and makes a strong argument for at least one day of rest.

Give it a listen and consider that the old ways might be the best ways.
