There are two perspectives for asking for help.

1) Asking for help is a sign of either weakness or incompetence.

2) Asking for help is a sign of wisdom and strength.

I was taught #1 and have come to realize that #2 is better.

Asking for help is a sign that you know when you are in over your head. A boss once told that asking for help was the truest sign of a great employee.

Asking for help is a good thing. Consider it an opportunity to learn a skill, taught by a master, for free.
