I offer a post from Seth Godin. He offers that we can be tricked into moving on something before we’re ready. He uses the analogy of making a turn in a car. Leaping before we look.

The evolved way to say this is called: reactivity. Your average Joe might call it knee jerk.

The trap is thinking doing something is better that doing nothing.

Seth’s point is that either you want to move or you don’t. How easy is it to fall into the spiral of thinking one more piece of information will be the key to an easy decision? If we waited for the perfect time to do anything, we’d end up doing nothing. Be decisional and accept the consequences.
